A weekend workshop for up to twelve women who are either in, or have been in, a relationship with an AS partner; who would like to feel both understood and supported.
Who is the workshop for?
The workshop is for women who have a partner who has been diagnosed with, or suspected of being affected by, Asperger Syndrome (AS). Irrespective of whether you're still with your AS partner. The age range of the group will vary as will the cultural backgrounds. However the one common denominator will be that all the women will have loved or still love a partner with AS. Places on the workshop are limited to twelve in an effort to provide an environment that feels safe and comfortable.
What is the aim of the Workshop?
The aim of the workshop is to be positive and uplifting. It will focus upon the women who attend, not their partners, and it is about self discovery, restoring self esteem and boundaries. The workshop does not offer counselling and counselling will not be the purpose of the workshop.
What will happen on the Workshop?
The workshop will include two PowerPoint presentations, instructive exercises, exploring boundaries, increasing self esteem, practical information, practical advice, discussion, personal exploration, and creative expression.
What is the schedule for the workshop?
The workshop runs for two days. Each day starts at 10am (refreshments will be available from 9.30am) and there will be a one hour break for lunch. On the first day there will be two short refreshment breaks before and after lunch and the day will close at 4.30pm. On the second day there will be one short refreshment break before lunch and the day will close at 3pm.
How much will the workshop cost?
The cost per person for the two days is £150 and includes the refreshments. Lunch on each day is left to each person to decide upon; the Village has a restaurant, bar and cafe.

What facilities does the hotel offer?
The Village Hotel offers superb leisure facilities, including an indoor 25 metre heated swimming pool, steam room, sauna, whirlpool, sun showers and a Jacuzzi - so be sure to bring your swimming costume and a towel. In addition there is a very large and well equipped fitness centre, squash courts, toning tables, exercise classes and, if you really want to spoil yourself, the hotel can offer a wide range of beauty treatments including pedicure, manicure and a relaxing back and/or full body massage. I would recommend that if you are interested you should book these in advance to avoid disappointment.
How much will my accommodation cost?
It is advisable that everyone should take advantage of the corporate room rate of £50 to stay over Friday night, meet with the other delegates and enjoy all the Village has to offer. Some delegates find it easier to book in on the Thursday to avoid the stress of travelling on Friday morning.

Irrespective of whether you're still with your AS partner - this workshop will be an inspiration to the rest of your life. The weekend is all about learning from Maxine's vast experience, meeting and sharing with other women in a similar situation, and about making space for “you”.
If you've lived with Asperger syndrome then this is a workshop you can not afford to miss.
