Woman's Face How would you know if one partner, of a couple sitting in front of you, was affected by Asperger syndrome?

Maxine approaches this complex and often misunderstood disorder, she explains why a counsellor's response to a couple, when Asperger syndrome may affect either, is crucial to their future relationship.

Research by Maxine in 2003 showed that 75 percent of couples affected by Asperger syndrome attended couple counselling. Her research also indicated that the majority of these were dissatisfied, with both the counselling they received and the consequences this counselling latterly had upon their relationship.

Currently it is estimated that 72 in every 1000 people are affected in some way by Asperger syndrome.

This two day linked workshop is aimed at counsellors, professionals and all those who work with, or may encounter, clients with Asperger syndrome.
