Absolutely gorgeous weather marked this very successful workshop.

For the first time Maxine relaxed her restrictions on numbers and presented this RAiAS workshop to seventeen delegates.

The venue was wonderful; on the nineth floor of the university's Tower Building; a superb view over the river Tay.
Dundee University
Dundee University There was a varied group of professional delegates, from a variety of university and NHS establishments, who brought so much to this workshop.

Although the heat on each of the days made the room a trifle oppressive, everyone was totally engrossed and enraptured by the subject matter.

The feedback Maxine received at the end is testimony to her skill and ingenuity.
Feedback

What did you like most about the workshop?
Variety of input - clear explanations + discussion of subject. Trainer’s delivery excellent - very approachable.

Integrative approach. Excellent working with others.

Open frank sharing. Quality of teaching.

Relevant information, informal setting and within clear boundaries (time etc.)

Lots of information, right balance of information + activity, input of other participants.

Practical applications ie how to diagnose, how to speak, how to listen.

What have you learnt most from the course?
Learnt how others think and feel, their uncertainty about syndrome. Reinforces how it's often others who have problems dealing with Asperger not necessarily the person.

Fact of autistic spectrum. Ways of supporting.

How little I know. This brain “abnormality“ leans across a lot of the diagnostic models of personality which I have experienced.

Since I came with little understanding of Aspergers I feel it has been a steep learning curve. Hopefully now have a greater understanding and empathy for people with Asperger's.

Any other comments?
Thoroughly enjoyed the workshop. Have already recommended to others. Maxine has so much knowledge to share. Felt I could have listened for hours. Also enjoyed listening to others and hearing their experiences. Would like to be informed of any info. in future.

Having handouts is very helpful so that I can concentrate fully on what is being said, knowing I have the info written down to refer to. Thank you for an excellent 2 days.

Most useful training I have attended for a long time. Thank you.

Wonderful. Good atmosphere created by Maxine. Excellent handouts. Thank you.
If you are an institution with staff who may need this training then please send an EMAIL for further information on how you could benefit from hosting a RAiAS workshop.
